Perth Wildcats next star Alexandre Sarr had a game to remember in his first match of two versus the NBA’s G-League Ignite.

Sarr had 17 points, shooting 2/3 from beyond the arc to add to his seven rebounds. The projected lottery pick has been touted as a defensive machine, and he showed it with an astonishing six blocks as well as a steal.

The Wildcats lost to Ignite 105-124 in the 48-minute NBA match, opposed to the FIBA 40-minutes regulation time limit.

The other key performance from Perth was new import wing Jordan Usher who had a team-high 22 points, six rebounds, three assists and a steal.

19-year-old West Aussie Ben Henshall had an impressive 11 points in 15 minutes for his home town team, impressing the NBA scouts in attendance.

The Wildcats play their second exhibition match vs Ignite on Saturday morning at 9am AWST (11am AEST).
